Creating a new Ramp Protocol

Modified on Fri, 16 Aug at 4:40 PM

This guide will show you how to create a new ramp protocol.

1.Once in Amedtec you will need to go to file at the top left of Amedtec and then press settings.

2.When in the settings menu you will need to search protocols in the search bar at the top of the menu as seen below.

3. Then you will need to click on "New protocol" button and give your protocol a name and then select new bicycle protocol and then press okay.

4. Click on recovery and press insert new stage then you should have two exercise stages then one will be warm up and one will be the ramp.

5. Once you have the two exercise phases you will need to set the time for the first one which is the warmup to 3 minutes and then the second exercise phase you will need to check the ramp box and then in the duration you will need to set it to 15 minutes. Then you need to do 15 times what the ramp you want to do. So you will do 15x5 which is 75 and add 75W into the target load section as seen below.

6. Now to add the blood pressure timings for the resting and warmup phase change the start time to 1:00 minute and leave the repetition interval as off as for the same as recovery and with the main exercise stage set the start time as whatever you want but or this example I have it at 00:00 and have set the repetition interval to 2:00 minutes so every 2 minutes Blood pressure is taken but you can change this to whatever suites you the most. Then put save to end of phase so at the end of the phase it saves the readings.

7. Now for you to be able to see this new protocol you will need to search test procedures and select Bicycle Stress Test Standard Then find Exercise settings like below.

8. Then in the section called Available stress test protocols yo will need to find the new protocol you have created and make sure it is ticked.
