Bike doesn't connect after Windows 10 update

If you are finding you no longer can connect to the Ergo meter, and, or the ECG device, there has been a recent update to Windows 10 which has enabled a feature in the system which can cause this.

If the connections fail try to restart the PC unit, by RIGHT clicking the start button:

Then highlight 'Shutdown or sign out' and click 'Restart'

Once the computer has restarted re-try the test and see if the Bike now connects properly.

If it does connect then please change the following settings on the computer in order to ensure this problem does not present itself againr:

Right click the start menu so you have the list of options as above, and click 'Run'

Type control and press enter. You will get this box:

In the search box (top right) enter 'Power Options'

Now click 'Power Options'

To see all these options you may need to click 'Show additional Plans'.

You may also need to click the blue link that says 'Change settings that are currently unavailable'. If your machine has been joined to a network and you cannot do this you will need to ask your IT department to follow these steps, as you have been prevented from doing this.

Select 'High performance'

Then click the 'Choose what the power buttons do' link along the left hand side of the window.

Change the settings on this screen so that all the shut down settings are un-ticked. We also recommend you change the drop down options to 'Do Nothing'.

Click 'Save Changes'

Fully shutdown the PC, wait 5 minutes and then boot the PC and try again to connect the bike etc during a test.

This should resolve the issue.
