Performing a Flow Linearity Check in Blue Cherry

Modified on Thu, 14 Nov, 2019 at 3:11 PM

Flow Linearity can be confirmed according to ATS\ERS guidelines with a 3 litre Calibration Syringe.

Hovering over the Calibration icon on the left-hand column gives you two options:

Select Flow Validation from the list:

Click Syringe Volume to check the volume of your Calibration Syringe is correct.

Click Record Flow Linearity Check and follow the on-screen instructions.

It will ask for In & Ex strokes over 3 different flowrates.

The In & Ex strokes should lie within the green bands on the Calibration Graph during each stage. The In Strokes & Ex Strokes dials on the right hand side will turn from Red to Green if the strokes are in the right range.

Upon completion the lower table will show the average quality of the In & Ex Strokes for each flowrate.

The program for the linearity checks determines automatically the linearity deviation. Blue Cherry applies the ATS/ERS criteria to the linearity validation which says any error must not exceed ±3.5% this range is shown by the coloured section in the graph. Valid linearity checks will show a green tick in the successful column, Invalid tests show a red cross.
